Shelter from the Bombs will be broadcast on Barton FM starting on Wednesday 21st October at 7pm, Thursday 22nd October at 1pm and Sunday 25th October at 1pm with subsequent airings over the coming month.

Original script written by local resident - Martin James, following the Walker family and their story of WW2. Filmed locally by kind permission in an original air raid shelter in Barton-upon-Humber by cast members of South Bank Players.

Not quite brave enough to be onstage but would love to act? Why not try your hand at radio instead. Due to the current climate meaning we are unable to do live performances for the public, the South Bank Players are looking to create some radio plays instead.

Based in the historic Joseph Wright Hall (a centre for art and culture) in Barton-upon-Humber, we are delighted to share with you the work that is being done by the Trust to make this venue into a real community space for the creative arts.
